To me, “Thank You For Being A Friend” (also known as the theme song of “The Golden Girls”), is inherently a top tier holiday song that no one else has acknowledged. I’ve wanted to do this for a very long time and this year I finally took a day and just did it. As a full-time songwriter, I very rarely do covers, but I have to acknowledge when a perfect song is a perfect song. I just wanted to decorate it for the holidays - a time that, regardless of beliefs, is a season of celebrating loved ones.
